Wow! That's gobs of torque for a JRSC! Is that 8psi, Schwett?
What is a good (ideal) A/F ratio for our FI cars?
------------------
6 psi JRSC GSR: GSS-317, 3" intake -> 217 hp/155 ft-lbs.
New: BTC, MAP controller, and stock timing!
Soon: Endyn stepper?

6psi. it's a basically stock (other than the JRSC) H22. thus the torque.

Ah. . . I get it now.
What is your current fuel setup?

stock prelude 290cc injectors, cartech 2025, walbro gss-342, vafc. didn't do much to it with the VAFC once we saw that increasing the FP was having no effect. i guess i'll bite the bullet and go with some 370s. i don't want to go any bigger than necessary.

schwett....why would you not adjust the VAFC??...the static fuel pressure shouldnt be relevant to the ability for the vafc to add or deduct fuel...unless you were already a max duty cycle??

can't add more than about 5-10% with the VAFC before the ECU sees positive pressure and freaks out. it helps a little, but not much.

I'm I not reading this correct? If your already on the rich side, why is there mention of getting bigger injectors? I can see that you may want to lower fuel pressure. But there is also mention of adding more fuel? If your already rich, and you have a VAFC, why not just cut down on the duty cycle to bring down the A/F ratio? I'm sure that would be good for some extra ponies....

Actually, his is not rich at all. The typical JRSC equipped car likes A/F ratios of about 12.2 - 12.6:1. Mark seems to be nearly a full point leaner at peak rpm.

oddly, jim, when i run the datalogger, i get a solid .90-.92v reading from the stock O2 sensor, which is actually what most people told me was a good safe place to be. i don't understand why other jrsc lude drivers are able to get it richer with the stock setup. mine certainly couldn't handle any more fuel pressure.
